Grease Trap Guide helps restaurants and commercial kitchens understand their local grease trap rules and find a local service provider. The site is run by a small independent team and operated by Just Media Content LLC.
What we do
- Explain local rules. Each city page summarizes the pumping, cleaning and record-keeping requirements published by that city or utility, in plain language.
- Connect you with a provider. When you request a quote, we pass your request to a local grease trap service provider, who contacts you directly.
- Keep it free. Using this site costs you nothing. We may be paid by service providers for referrals.
We don’t pump or clean grease traps ourselves, and we aren’t a city agency or utility.
How we make our guides
- We start from the official source: the city ordinance, utility program page or published standards, linked at the bottom of every city page.
- We use AI tools to help draft and organize pages, then check every requirement, number and date against the official source before publishing.
- Cost figures come from published industry price guides and are labelled as general estimates, not local quotes.
- Each page shows when it was last reviewed. Rules change, so always confirm current requirements with your local program before relying on them.
